Judging
JUDGING CRITERIA
Nominations received will be judged according to the following criteria:
Well Researched
Campaigns, projects or interventions for which nomination is submitted must be evidence-based. It must be an intervention lunched based on carefully identified road safety problems in the society.
Innovation
The nomination must be about a new intervention or something that significantly improves road safety in the community.
It does not necessarily imply that the particular activity must never have been practised previously by others.
Achievement
No project should be considered for an award unless its impact has been evaluated and there is clear evidence of it having had a beneficial effect on road safety. The impact may not be linked to a reduction in casualties and collisions, but may focus on changes in knowledge, attitudes and behaviour.
Implementation
The implementation strategies, steps and procedures must be clearly spelt out and the step – by – step activities in the implementation stage must be evidentially presented.
Evaluation
The success of the project must have been evaluated in the light of set out objectives.
JUDGING PANEL
The judging panel is a team of 10 judges who are all experts of repute in the road safety sector. Each region of Africa is represented by 2 judges and two judges are drawn from the global road safety family.
How To Participate
Submit your nominations for the respective award categories on or before 17th, September 2024.
Ensure all submissions adhere to the specified guidelines and criteria outlined in the nomination form.
